BAM! You didn’t expect to find this post after my post earlier this week, did you? Well, I love flips and I just had to bring you this one. I know I’ve said this a lot lately but this time I really mean it: these flippers are the best!! Plus, in this Special Edition Friday’s Featured Flip, I’ll be bringing you more details about the actual flippers…I secretly (okay, not so secretly now I suppose) hope they adopt me.
Right?! Wait until you see the inside. These folks did a f**king fantastic job. If there were Oscar awards for flippers, these folks would walk away with one. The rehab is spectacular, the details are flawless, and the staging, impeccable.
When I first saw this house and then missed the open house, I was convinced I wouldn’t get another chance to see it because I thought it would go “pending” shortly thereafter. Shockingly it didn’t and it’s still for sale. I am definitely going to the open house this weekend. I’m pretty sure that if one of the FFF is there, I’m going to spaz out and humiliate myself by blurting out “I LOVE YOU. PLEASE TEACH ME! I’LL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT.”
This rehab has been featured in several publications and on our local news. So I know a lot about these flippers. If you want to read more about them, the house and even see a video of them go HERE. Basically, they are a husband and wife team. The husband is a contractor and former military man, and the wife is a realtor/designer.
These f**king fabulous flippers (hereto forth referred to as “FFF”) took an abandoned church and converted it into what you’re about to see. The poor pastor who ran the church before over extended himself when he started construction to expand the church. He eventually had to let the bank foreclose on the church. I’m not a religious person at all but I don’t think even I could do that…#bankersareheartless
There are only two draw backs to this house…well really it might technically just be one: location. It’s a half a block from a freeway on-ramp…yikes. And the neighborhood can be pretty sketchy. It’s also very close to a pediatric hospital — I’m not sure how that cuts. Good: if you have an accident prone child. But bad: because you’ll hear ambulances at all hours and parking could be a nightmare.
Here’s a little something special for you: a floor plan of the house now. It will help you orient yourself to what you’re about to see. I love it when sellers include these with the listing. It really helps you understand a house’s layout.

Rounding out the 1st Floor: Office
They’ve listed this as an office but it looks as if it has its own entrance. Plus it has it’s own bathroom and bedroom. Can you say AirBnB?
2nd Floor: After
Heading upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms (including the master), 2 bathrooms and the laundry room. It looks like this space was here before but obviously its been completely reimagined.
Here’s the master bedroom and bath:
This area is off of the living room. It’s small but well done. With 3000+ sq. feet inside, you don’t need a lot of outdoor space. If you have kids, they can ride their bikes in, out and around the first floor (especially since the first floor has concrete floors).
Well there you go, Folks. Hope you enjoyed today’s Friday’s Featured Flip!
