TGIFFF!!! Viola is a great little flipped property. I don’t know about you but I needed this Friday to come. This was my kids’ first week back to school and, if we’re being honest, it was a super tough transition to go from vacation-mode to school-work mode. After two weeks off, I’d forgotten how stressful normal life can be. This little flip brightened my otherwise dreary week…
Given where this house started and how little she spent, I think Viola did a fantastic job. I think she’s a true master. This house isn’t going to be as exciting as some of the other FFFs I’ve brought you but it’s solid and I believe Viola made all the right choices — well except for a few things which I’ll mention as we go along.
Details of Viola
As you can see Viola is only listing this house $100,000 over what she bought it for. There is no way she’ll make much of a profit if it sells for asking but as we’ve learned: houses don’t sell for asking around here.
There are a few very negative things about the neighborhood. First, this house is spitting distance away from a major freeway. Two, it’s on the wrong side of that freeway. As a general rule around here, it’s more desirable to live above the freeway than below it. This house is below the freeway. And finally, even the immediate neighborhood above the freeway near this house isn’t that great. All of those things are clearly reflected in how dirt cheap this house is listed for.
There aren’t that many before pictures but you get a really good idea where Viola this house from.
Just a nice kitchen. I love the gray counters and subway tiled back-splash. It’s a perfect neutral, universally appealing space.

Finally, I have a gross before picture of a bathroom.

Nothing too exciting here. Just nice clean, neutral spaces.

Well there you have another flip. Are you in love with Viola as much as I am now?
Speaking of Viola — did you see Viola Davis’ and Meryl Streep’s speeches at the Golden Globes? I love both of those woman so much.
