This is the first in my “Friday’s Featured Flip” series. Every Friday (*gulp*no pressure*) I will bring you houses that have either been or should be flipped. If I ever figure out Photoshop, I will start bringing you renderings.
As I mentioned in my first post, eventually I would love to flip houses and so I am constantly on real estate websites looking for homes that could be flipped or have been flipped.
I first saw this house when it was on the market back in February of 2015 and it was in rough shape. It was listed as a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. The location is great but it’s on a very very busy street.
The target buyers in this area are families. The location makes that tough because the street is so busy. I think this really limits the potential sale price.
In May 2015, this ouse sold for $815,000.
The flippers completely gutted this home, added a bedroom, closed some walls and now it’s listed for $995,000 as a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom. Crazy, right?!
Front porch area
Living room and dining room: how do you think the skid marks got on the wall above the fireplace? Hmmm…Did they rip out that hutch in the dining room? #tragedy
Kitchen: I think they closed in the door on the right in the picture below.
3rd bedroom: Maybe, right? I think they closed out the first door on the right — closest to you — which may lead to the dining room. Smart move.
2nd bedroom: again with the schmears/splatters on the upper part of the wall. How the HELL did those get there?
3rd bedroom: master bedroom maybe?
Bathroom #1: it looks like they reconfigured both bathrooms so it’s hard to tell which bathroom is which. The bathrooms are much improved but I’m not digging the tan tile in the after.
2nd bathroom: so sad that they got rid of the original window… (When the f**k did I become such a preservationist?!) Again with the beige/tan tile in the bathroom. I wonder why they didn’t go with white subway tile.
Backyard: when I first looked at the after house I thought the Flippers had removed broken cement but now I realize they reused the slate tiles. They also painted the retaining wall. Very smart.
Okay. That’s it. I know there aren’t many (okay maybe no) funnies today but this post ended up being a lot harder to put together. Is there an easier way to get so many pictures into a post?
