Google. Has. Found. Us. We are so excited! To commemorate this joyous and momentous occasion, we are going to refer to ourselves in the 3rd person for the entirety of this post…
…you know like the royals do.
[Don’t worry we will resume our normal first-person voiced posts next time.]
Before you all go out and Google us and get disappointed that you don’t see us on the first page, I should tell you that we’re on the 2nd page. (Mr. Man is super excited for us but thinks we said we were the 2nd post. We can’t bare to break it to him we said page not post.) I know the second page is like purgatory but it’s better than being on page ______. (We can’t tell you what page number because after the 10th page we gave up looking,)
So since starting this blog we’ve been trying to get Google to see us. But alas Google has been blind to our going-on’s. This has really caused us to question whether the conspiracy theorists are right about”Big Brother” using Google to keep tabs on us.
We count ourselves among those conspiracy theorists and in the past worked hard to keep our name out of Google. In fact, we were proud that nothing could be found about us on the first or second page of a Google search. But for the last few weeks we’ve been so sad that Google was ignoring us. It felt as if we didn’t exist — you know like that poor tree that falls in the forest with no one around to see it fall.
But now we can be found and now the whole world can see us fall…eh…er…wait…that analogy didn’t end up like I wanted it to. You get my drift, right?
Tonight, we’d come here to give you a sneak peek of what we’ve been working on all week but got a little distracted. So, let’s get back to the originally scheduled program.
A few months ago we bought an old church pew from our favorite furniture thrift store. (Curious where that is: read all about it HERE.) This is what the church pew looked like last week (and really for many, many weeks before that too)…
Now the pew sits stripped and bare in our garage waiting for the stain. We have been obsessed with ceruse since seeing this image on the Ornamentalist.
Now this is where we need your help/support/intervention because this is how the sample board looks tonight…
How the hell are we going to get from this to the inspiration? Should we even try or should we give up? This may not have been a good day for Google to have found us. *gulp*
